Som, learned counsel for the applicants. Also heard Ms. B. Bhuyan, learned Senior Counsel/ Additional Public Prosecutor assisted by Ms. R. Saloi, appearing for the State respondent. This is an application under Section 482 of the BNSS, 2023, seeking grant of pre-arrest bail to the applicant, i.e, Saleman Ali, Tahezul Islam, Chajiran Begum, Elias Ali and Pinkey Begum, who are apprehending arrest in connection with a complaint lodged by one Uttara Ray at the Satgaon Police Station, for which no formal case or GDE has been registered yet. It appears from the report submitted that, pursuant to a complaint lodged by Smt. Uttara Ray, a General Diary Entry, being GDE Page No.# 3/3 No. 16 dated 10.07.2026, was registered. However, upon both the parties being called to the police station for enquiry, they amicably settled the dispute and submitted a joint written statement requesting that no further enquiry be conducted. Accordingly, enquiry was closed and no formal FIR has been registered against the applicants. That beings so, the instant anticipatory bail application is not maintainable. Resultantly, the anticipatory bail application stands dismissed. A copy of the report dated 04.08.2026 is kept on record and marked as ‘X’. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
