Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for more than 13 months and already witness action has commenced. Prosecution intends to examine 8 witnesses, as such there is no scope of the trial concluding.
Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that the petitioner was thickly connected with the offence being the Customer Relationship Officer. Petitioner duped many customers including 5 victims who are witnesses in the present case.
Having considered the nature of the offence and the fact that there is no possibility of tampering the evidence which is
2 in custody of the prosecution, I am of the view further detention of the present petitioner is unwarranted.
Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is allowed. Petitioner, namely, Rukhshar Kazi shall furnish bond of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand Only) with two sureties of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand Only) each. One of whom must be local to the satisfaction of Learned CJM, Chinsurah.
If on bail petitioner shall be physically present on each and every date fixed by the learned Trial Court and shall not leave the jurisdiction of District of Hooghly without the prior permission of the learned Trial Court.
Accordingly, CRM (M) 32 of 2026 is allowed.
