Heard Mr. I.Choudhury, learned counsel for the applicant/respondent and Ms.F.B. Choudhury, learned counsel for the opposite party/petitioner. 2. This instant application has been filed by the applicant/ respondent for releasing 20% of the compensation amount in favour of the applicant/ Page No.# 2/2 respondent which has been deposited before the Registry, Gauhati High Court by the opposite party/petitioner, pursuant to order dated 05.05.2026 passed in I.A (Criminal) No.455/2026 . 3. The learned counsel for the applicant submits that the compensation amount has been directed to be deposited before the Registry but there was no direction passed to the Registry to release the aforesaid 20 % of the compensation amount on receipt by the Registry to the applicant/ respondent. 4. The learned counsel for the applicant submits that 20% of the compensation amount has already been deposited before the Registry of this Court, vide Demand Draft dated 01.06.2026. The learned counsel for the opposite party/ petitioner has submitted a copy of the same which is kept on record and marked as ‘X’. 5. In view of the aforesaid deposit, Registry is directed to release the aforesaid 20 % of the compensation amount to the applicant/ respondent. 6.
