Heard counsel for the petitioner and learned standing counsel representing the State-respondents. 2. The present writ petition has been preferred for issuance of a direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent no. 3 to decide the petitioner's application dated 09.04.2026, within stipulated time and allot/renew the fair price shop of Gram Sabha, Behra, Post-Khochwa, Tehsil Raja Talab, District Varanasi 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that aforesaid application for renewal of fair price shop has been pending consideration before respondent no. 3, but no final decision has been taken till date. Therefore, a suitable direction be issued to respondent no.3 to decide the aforesaid application expeditiously, within a stipulated time. 4. In view of the facts and circumstances of the case, the present writ petition is finally disposed of with a direction to respondent no. 3 to consider and decide the petitioner's application regarding renewal of fair price shop, strictly in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of production of a certified copy of this order.
