Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the parties are neighbours residing in the same building. He further submits that two of the accused persons in the present FIR were juveniles and have already been acquitted by the Juvenile Justice Board. It is submitted that, with the intervention of family members and respectable persons of the locality, the parties have amicably resolved all their disputes vide Settlement Deed dated 02.05.2026 and nothing further survives between them. 7. Learned APP for the State opposes the prayer for quashing of the FIR and submits that the allegations levelled in the FIR are serious in nature. 8. On a query put by this Court, respondent No. 2, who has been duly identified by the Investigating Officer, states that she has entered into the settlement out of her own free will, without any force, coercion or undue influence. She further states that she has no objection if the present FIR and all consequential proceedings are quashed. 9. Having heard the learned counsel for the parties and considering the peculiar facts and circumstances of the present case, this Court finds that the parties, who are neighbours, have amicably resolved their disputes and are desirous of maintaining cordial relations. Continuation of the criminal proceedings, in the facts of the present case, would serve no useful purpose and would only perpetuate bitterness between the parties. Therefore, to secure the ends of justice and prevent abuse of the process of law, this Court finds it appropriate to exercise its inherent jurisdiction under Section 528 of the BNSS. 10. Accordingly, FIR No. 67/2021, registered at Police Station Burari, Delhi, under Sections 323, 354, 354B, 376D, 452, 109 and 34 of the IPC and Sections 6, 12 and 17 of the POCSO Act, along with all consequential This is a digitally signed order.
