2026:JHHC:14957 IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI A.B.A. No. 2570 of 2026 ------ X .... .... …. Petitioner Versus The State of Jharkhand .... .... .... Opposite Party CORAM : HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR DWIVEDI For the Petitioner : Mr. Pratik Sen, Advocate For the State : Mr. Bishambhar Shastri, A.P.P. ------ 02/14.05.2026 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the State. 2. The petitioner is apprehending his arrest in connection with Lalpur P.S. Case No. 86 of 2023, registered for the offence under Sections 341, 323, 325, 354(B), 504 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code, pending in the court of learned Judicial Magistrate, Ranchi. 3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that due to property dispute, the petitioner has been implicated in the case and the petitioner happens to be uncle of the informant. He submits that it is unbelievable that a person aged about 66 years has outraged the modesty of his daughter-in-law. He also submits that on the fateful day i.e. on 26.03.2023, the petitioner was travelling from Delhi to Ranchi and to buttress this argument, he refers to Annexure 2 which is boarding pass. 4. Learned counsel appearing for the State opposes the prayer and submits that the allegations are there of outraging the modesty. 5. Considering that the petitioner is uncle of the informant and there is property dispute between them and Annexure 2 is a document which clearly suggests that the petitioner was travelling on that day from Delhi to Ranchi, in the attending facts and circumstances, I am inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 6. Accordingly, the above-named petitioner is directed to surrender before the learned Court within two weeks from today and in the event of his arrest or surrender, he shall be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.25,000/- (Twenty Five Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Judicial Magistrate, Ranchi, in connection with Lalpur P.S. Case No. 86 of 2023, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 482(2) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023. (Sanjay Kumar Dwivedi, J.) Anit Uploaded 16.05.2026
