This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to provide 3 phase 7.5 HP agriculture electricity connection so as to draw water from the bore well situated in the petitioner’s, agricultural land to an extent of 0.98 1/3 cents, Survey No. 3/4 Peekiripalayam, Chikkarasampalayam Village, Sathyamangalam Taluk, Erode District for the purpose of cultivation of commercial crops. 3. According to the petitioner, the petitioner applied for 3 phase 7.5 HP for his agricultural land Survey No.3/4 (0.98 1/3 Cents) Peekkiripalayam, Chikkarasampalayam Village, Sathyamangalam Taluk, Erode District for the purpose of cultivation of commercial crops and the respondents having acknowledged the said application, failed to provide electricity connection referring as if there is a defect in the title. The lands in question were classified as the land belongs to the Scheduled caste community and the https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 11828 of 2026 __________ Page3 of 5 petitioner also belongs to the same community and the revenue records, namely, Chitta and Adangal also shows that the lands in question is under the physical possession of the petitioner and also refers about the status of the community. The petitioner is the lawful owner and purchased the land by deed of sale dated 25.05.2023 vide document no.3758 of 2023 and the respondents are not competent to hold an enquiry with regard to the ownership of the property, which already stood and established before the Registration Department at the time of execution of sale deed, hence the present Writ Petition. 4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the bore well was dug to the depth of 250 feet in agricultural land as early as in the year 2023 before the application for supply of energy was made, since the existence of well / bore well is a prerequisite condition as per the regulation. Since the said Borewell has not been used nor any water is extracted from the said bore well, the same will become unusable. Hence the petitioner has come up with the present Writ Petition. 5. The learned counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that a direction may be given to the 2nd respondent to consider the online application of the petitioner dated 22.08.2023 and to pass appropriate orders. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 11828 of 2026 __________ Page4 of 5 6. In view of the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner, without going into the merits of the case, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider the application of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders within a period of four weeks from the date of a receipt of copy of this order.
