JUSTICE M.I.ARUN ORAL ORDER Petitioner became the owner of the property which is the subject matter of the writ petition by virtue of the Gift Deed dated 22.12.2022. He requested the respondents to mutate the khata with respect to the property into his name. However, the same has been rejected on the ground that there is underpayment of taxes in respect of the property. In the course of arguments, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that whatever is the differential tax, the same will be paid in accordance with law. 3. Learned counsel for the respondents submits that if the petitioner were to pay the differential tax then, in that event, katha in respect to the property could be mutated into the name of the petitioner, subject to other requirements. 4. The Writ petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the request of the petitioner for change of khata, subject to petitioner paying the differential tax amount and complying with other conditions in accordance with law.
