And In the matter of : Bablu Barman.
……Petitioner. Mr. Anindya Ghosh Mr. S. Sarkar
……for the Petitioner. Ms. Sreyashee Biswas Ms. Rita Dutta
……for the State.
Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the subject matter of the case involves recovery of 52.10 grams of Yaba Tablets and the petitioner is in custody for 124 days, as such on any stringent conditions he may be released on bail as he has been arrested on the basis of the statement of co-accused. Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that another accused has been arrested and 77 grams of Yaba Tablets have been recovered from him. It has also been submitted that the investigation of the case is still in progress. Having considered the stage of the case, particularly as the investigation is still in progress, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner in CRM (NDPS) 1715 of 2025 is dismissed at this stage.
