Sarma, learned Addl. Public Prosecutor, Assam, appearing for the State respondent. Also heard Mr. S.K. Chakma, learned counsel for the respondent No. 2. This is an application under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023 for granting regular bail to the petitioner, namely, Manowar Hussain @ Manowar, in connection with Hajo P.S. Case No. 176/2026 (G.R. Case No. 207/2026) registered under Section 87 of the BNS, 2023 added Section 4 of the POCSO Act, 2012 who was arrested on 21.05.2026. The allegation as reflected in the FIR is that the petitioner kidnapped the daughter of the informant aged about 17 years in front of their house. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner and the victim girl were in love relationship and considering the period of detention of 85 days, the prayer for bail may be allowed. Case diary as called for is received and perused. From the statement of the victim, aged about 17 years, it appears that she had eloped with the petitioner. Having regard to the above and the period of detention already undergone by the accused/ petitioner, the prayer for bail is allowed. Accordingly, the petitioner named above be released on bail on furnishing a bond of 20,000/- with two sureties of the like amount to the satisfaction of the learned Special Judge, Kamrup, Amingaon in connection with the aforementioned case, subject to the conditions that the petitioner shall participate in the trial of the case as Page No.# 3/3 and when if one commences and shall not intimidate any persons acquainted with the facts of the case, in any manner.
