This petition under Section 482 BNSS is filed for granting the privilege of pre-arrest bail to the petitioners, namely, Olive Rongpi and Mary Ronghangpi, apprehending arrest in connection with Basistha P.S. Case No. 223/2026 registered u/s 303(2)/325 of BNS R/W 11(1)(a)/11(1)(d) of Prevention of Cruelty to Animal Act. 3. The petitioners were allowed interim protection by this Court on 27.07.2026 with direction to appear before the IO of the case to participate in the investigation process. Accordingly, the petitioner had appeared on the 3rd day from the date of passing of the order as submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner. 4. This Court does not consider it necessary for the custodial interrogation of the petitioners since they have appeared and interrogated. 5. Accordingly, the interim protection granted to the petitioner on 27.07.2026 is hereby made absolute subject to the condition that the petitioners shall continue to participate and co-operate in the investigation as and when required by the Investigating Authority. 6.
