2 (Single Bench) Hon'ble Shri Justice Sanjay K. Agrawal Order On Board 21/04/2026
1. None appears for the appellant in two rounds. Even on 15.4.2026 also, none appeared on behalf of the appellant in two rounds. No representation was made. 2. The present Appeal has been filed by the appellant, who is the owner and driver of the offending vehicle, under Section 173 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 challenging the impugned award dated 15.5.2019 passed by the 4th Additional Claims Tribunal to the Court of 1st Additional Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Raipur in Claim Case No.118/2018 by which liability to pay compensation of Rs.5 lakhs has been fastened on the appellant herein. 3.
Considering the fact that it is a death case wherein a man aged about 38 years has died and only an amount of Rs.5 lakhs has been awarded as compensation, I do not find any merit in this Appeal, which deserves to be and is hereby dismissed. Sd/- (Sanjay K. Agrawal) Judge Barve
