This writ petition is filed under Articles 226 & 227 of the Constitution of India, seeking the following relief: “Issue a writ of mandamus or any other writ, order or direction, directing the respondent No.2 to consider the representation dated 25.03.2025 (Annexure-J) and grant appointment to the - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:10040 WP No. 27699 of 2025 petitioner’s son namely Mr.Sanketh B.Shetty in the respondent No.4 Company as per the Rehabilitation and Resettlement Scheme vide Annexure-H, in the interest of justice.” 3. The brief facts of the case are that the petitioner was the absolute owner of the petition schedule property. The said property was acquired by respondent Nos. 1 to 3 under the provisions of the Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board Act (for short, “KIADB Act”). The Government has framed a Rehabilitation and Resettlement Scheme for the benefit of land-losers. Accordingly, one of the family members of land-losers are entitled to appointment in the fourth respondent–Company. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 25.03.2025, vide Annexure-J, to the second respondent. So far, the said representation has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court. 4. Since the representation submitted by the petitioner vide Annexure-J dated 25.03.2025 has not been considered by the second respondent, it would suffice for - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:10040 WP No. 27699 of 2025 this Court to direct the second respondent to consider the said representation in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, and in any event not later than three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
