Learned Additional Government Advocate accepts notice for all the respondents.

It is the contention of the petitioner that he has filed applications in Form No.50 on 21.08.1991 and Form No.57 on 11.03.2019 seeking regularization of unauthorized occupation of 4 acres of land in Sy.No.12 of Mudigere Kaval Village, Kasaba Hobli, Sira Taluk, Tumakuru District and till date, the applications have not been considered. Therefore, the prayer in the writ petition is to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondent- authorities to consider the applications filed by the

petitioner seeking regularization of unauthorized occupation of 4 acres of land in Sy.No.12 of Mudigere Kaval Village, Kasaba Hobli, Sira Taluk, Tumakuru District.

Having regard to the contentions raised in the writ petition and submission of the learned Counsel for the petitioner, this Court is of the considered opinion that respondent-Tahsildar was duty bound to place the applications filed by the petitioner before the ‘Committee for Regularization of Unauthorized Occupation’ and the Committee was also duty bound to consider the applications and pass necessary orders.
4. Consequently, the writ petition stands disposed of with a specific direction to respondent-Tahsildar, Sira Taluk, to verify from the records as to whether such applications in Form No.50 and Form No.57 are pending
consideration. If it is found that such applications were indeed filed by the petitioner and the applications are yet to be considered, the respondent-Tahsildar is directed to place before the ‘Committee for Regularization of

Unauthorised Occupation’ the applications along with his recommendation within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Thereafter, the Committee shall consider the applications and pass necessary orders in accordance with law. The entire exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of two months. Ordered accordingly.
Learned Additional Government Advocate is permitted to file memo of appearance within a period of four weeks from today.
