PUBLIC PROSECUTOR 2 The Court made the following ORDER: This Criminal Petition is filed by the Petitioners/A.2 to A.5 under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (for short “BNSS, 2023”) seeking to release them in the event of their arrest in connection with Crime No.111 of 2026 of Tiruchanur UPS, Tirupati District, registered for the offence punishable under Section 420 read with 34 IPC. Heard Sri R.Abishek Reddy, learned counsel for the Petitioners and Ms.K.Priyanka Lakshmi, learned Assistant Public Prosecutor for respondent State. Perused the material on record. Learned counsel for the Petitioners would submit that the petitioners herein are arrayed as A.2 to A.5 and they are falsely implicated in this crime. Further, Petitioner No.1/A.2 is working as Professor at Chennai. Learned counsel would further submit that the matter relates civil disputes and the complainant turned the case into a criminal case by attributing vague and undistinguished allegations against the petitioners. Prima facie there are no ingredients attracting the offence punishable under Section 420 IPC. Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor on instructions brought to the notice of this Court that there are no reasons believing that there is a threat of arrest against the Petitioners and that the Police are not going to issue notice under Section 35(3) BNSS, 2023. 3 Learned counsel for the Petitioners would submit that recording the said submission, this criminal petition may be disposed of. Considering the submissions made, this Criminal Petition is disposed of. As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
