Heard Mr. U. Deka, learned counsel for the petitioner. The petitioner had instituted the present writ petition, inter alia, praying for activation of the defunct State Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission. Mr. Deka submits that after the notices were issued in the matter, the State Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission has been reactivated and the said Commission as on date is functioning. Accordingly, Mr. Deka submits that the prayer made in the present writ petition has been rendered infructuous. Accordingly, he submits that the writ petition be closed. The prayer is not objected to by the learned counsel for the respondent. In view of the above submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner, the present writ petition stands closed on being rendered infructuous.
