JUSTICE YARENJUNGLA LONGKUMER ORDER Date : 20-08-2026 By filing the instant application, the petitioner seeks to implead Er. Swarai Meru, the present Engineer-in-Chief, NPWD as respondent No.5 in the pending COP(C)31/2026 and also Er. Ketuselie, Executive Engineer, PWD(Housing) Estate Division as respondent No.4 in place of Er.Abija Khing. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner Ms. Kekhriesenuo. It is submitted that the present applicant/petitioner has filed COP(C) 31/2026 which is pending before this Court. During the pendency of the said petition, the respondent No.2 Er.K. Imnajungba Jamir has since retired and in his place Er. Swarai Meru has been promoted as Engineer-in-Chief, NPWD. It is therefore prayed that Er. Swarai Meru may be allowed to be impleaded as respondent No.5 in COP(C)31/2026. Another submission of the petitioner is that Er. Abija Khing is the Executive Engineer and since the present petition involves the Estate Division therefore, instead of Er. Abija Khing as respondent No.4, it is prayed that Er. Ketuselie, Executive Engineer, PWD(Housing) Estate Division may be allowed to be impleaded as respondent No.4 in COP(C)31/2026. Page No.# 4/4 Considering the above facts and circumstances, the instant application is allowed. The petitioner shall file amended cause title impleading Er. Swarai Meru, the present Engineer-in-Chief, NPWD as respondent No.5 and Er. Ketuselie, Executive Engineer, PWD(Housing) Estate Division as respondent No.4 in COP(C)31/2026. The petitioner shall thereafter take steps for service of notice on the newly impleaded respondents by speed post as well as usual process within 7 days from today. I.A. stands disposed of.
