By way of the present petition, the petitioner seeks quashing of FIR No. 716/2024 registered under Sections 290 and 125(a) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (hereinafter referred to as the ‘BNS’) at Police Station Bawana, Delhi, and all consequential proceedings arising therefrom, in view of the amicable settlement arrived at between the parties.
3. Issue notice. Learned APP for the State accepts notice.
4. The Petitioner and Respondent No. 2 are present before this Court and have been duly identified by the Investigating Officer (IO) concerned.

Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 came to be registered at Police Station Bawana, Delhi, pursuant to an incident alleged to have occurred on 24.10.2024, wherein Respondent No. 2 allegedly sustained injuries at a construction site. During the pendency of the proceedings, the parties amicably resolved all their disputes and entered into a Memorandum of Understanding in May, 2026, whereby Respondent No. 2 agreed to the quashing of the present FIR and all consequential proceedings.
6. Today, the complainant, who is present in Court, states that he has received the first instalment of ₹3,00,000/- (Rupees Three Lakhs Only) vide Demand Draft No. 595780 and has no objection if the present FIR and all consequential proceedings are quashed.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, in terms of the Memorandum of Understanding, a sum of ₹3,00,000/- (Rupees Three Lakhs Only) is payable to Respondent No. 2 at the time of quashing of the present FIR, while the balance amount of ₹2,00,000/- (Rupees Two Lakhs Only) shall be paid upon withdrawal of the proceedings pending before the Office of the Labour Commissioner and any other proceedings, if any, arising out of the present dispute.

On a query made by this Court, Respondent No. 2, who has been duly identified by the IO, categorically states that he has entered into the settlement out of his own free will, without any force, coercion or undue influence and he has no objection if the present FIR and all proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

In view of the fact that the parties have amicably resolved all their disputes, the entire settlement amount has been paid, and Respondent No. 2 has no objection to the quashing of the FIR, no useful purpose would be This is a digitally signed order. served in continuing the criminal proceedings. There is no legal impediment to quashing the FIR in the facts and circumstances of the present case.
10. Accordingly, FIR No. 716/2024, registered at Police Station Police Station Bawana, Delhi, for the offences punishable under Sections 290 & 125(a) of the BNS, and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom, are hereby quashed.
11. The present petition, along with pending application(s), if any, stands
disposed of.
