Vide communication dated 22nd May, 2026, the respondent/ECI has written to the Chief Electoral Officer, Uttar Pradesh to get a physical verification of the 20 members who had furnished an affidavit in support of the petitioner’s application. 3. Having heard the counsel for the parties, the present writ petition is disposed of while directing the respondent/ECI to expeditiously process the application of the petitioner and carry out the verification process in an expeditious manner.
