Through the present petition, the petitioners are assailing the impugned orders dated 16.05.2026 and 23.05.2026 passed by the learned District Judge (Commercial Court)-02, Central District , Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi in CS (COMM) 69/2025 titled “Ashok Kapoor & Ors. v. M/s Kasrr & Ors.”, whereby cost of Rs. 50,000/- was imposed by learned Trial Court vide order dated 16.05.2026 due to failure of strict compliance with the timelines under the Commercial Courts Act, 2015 and for causing avoidable loss of the learned Court’s time. 2. Furthermore, the learned Trial Court vide order dated 23.05.2026, dismissed the application filed by the Petitioner under Section 151 of the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908, seeking waiver of the cost of Rs. 50,000, and held that no cogent reasons or grounds can be made out for allowing the plea taken in the application. 3. In view thereof, the impugned order dated 16.05.2026 passed by learned Trial Court stands modified to the extent that the cost of Rs. 50,000/- imposed on the Petitioner is reduced to Rs. 25,000/-. 6.
