Mr. Mahammad Mahmud Mr. Chottu Naskar … for the petitioner Mr. Debasis Sur … for the respondent Mr. S. S. Koley … for the WBSEDCL The grievance of the petitioner is directed against inaction of the WBSEDCL in providing an electricity connection to the petitioner. It is submitted on behalf of the WBSEDCL that there are rival claims from the local public as well as the private respondents which have prevented WBSEDCL from granting such electricity connection. In view of the nature of disputes raised by the petitioner, WPA 5250 of 2026 stands disposed of by directing the concerned District Magistrate having jurisdiction i.e. respondent no. 4 to consider and dispose of the representation dated 5th February, 2026 after giving a right of hearing to all the affected parties. It is made clear that there has been no expression on the merits of the case and all 2 questions are left open to be decided by the Appropriate Authority in accordance with law. The above exercise is to be completed within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order. (Ravi Krishan Kapur, J.)
