Also heard the learned Addl. Public Prosecutor for the State of Assam. 2. This is an application under Section 482 of the BNSS, 2023 praying for grant of pre-arrest bail to the accused/petitioners, namely, 1) Safikul Islam @ Safiqul Islam, 2) Hekmat Ullah, 3) Fatema Khatun, 4) Jakir Hussain @ Jakir Hussen, 5) Mohar Ali @ Mahar Ali, and 6) Faijul Hoque, in connection with Juria P.S Case No. 147/2026 under Sections 61(2)/124(2)/118(2)/3(5) of the BNS, Page No.# 3/4 2023. 3. As per the allegation, the prosecution case is that on 06.06.2026, the complainant Muktar Hussain lodged an FIR stating, inter alia, that on 04.06.2026 at around 1:00 p.m. the FIR named accused persons wrongfully restrained and assaulted the complainant with an iron rod. As a result he sustained grievous injuries. Hence, the case. 4. CD, as called for, has been received along with the injury report, which indicates that the complainant sustained only simple injuries and the investigation of the case has also progressed further. 5. Having regard to the above, the custodial interrogation of the petitioner does not appear to be necessary. 6. Accordingly, the prayer for pre-arrest bail is allowed on furnishing a bail bond of Rs. 50,000/- (Rupees fifty thousand only) with two sureties of the like amount to the satisfaction of the learned arresting authority. 7. It is directed that the petitioner shall not try to intimidate the victims or influence the witnesses in any manner and shall cooperate with the investigation Page No.# 4/4 as and when required, and shall also participate in the trial, once it commences. 8. It is further provided that the petitioner shall appear before the I.O. within a period of 10 days from today. 8. With the above observations and directions, the bail application is disposed of.
