This contempt petition has been filed by the petitioner under Article 215 of the Constitution of India under Section 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 alleging willful non-compliance of the order dated 20.03.2025 passed by this Court in WP(L) No. 62/2025. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the order dated 20.03.2026 has not been complied with by the respondents. 3. I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the order dated 20.03.2026. 4. The operative portion of the interim order dated 20.03.2026 passed in WP (L) No. 62/2025 is extracted below for ready reference:- “If the petitioner/employer complies with the provisions of Section 17-B of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 within period of 60 days, there shall be a 2 stay on the effect and operation of the award dated 14.10.2024 passed in Case No. 16/IDA/Ref/2020 by the learned Labour Court, Bilaspur.” Perusal of the order would show that it is a conditional order of stay, meaning thereby, if the direction issued by this Court is not being complied with, then the stay will not be operative and therefore, it will not be a case to say that there is contempt of the order. 5. In view of the submissions made by the counsel for petitioner and the documents enclosed along with the contempt petition as also, the order dated 20.03.2026, this contempt petition is dismissed.
