The instant petition has been filed under Section 528 of BNSS, 2023, the petitioner seek a direction for expeditious disposal of criminal case No.5243/2023 pending before the learned JMFC, Bilaspur (C.G.). 2. Learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that the complaint Case is pending from 20.07.2023. On the other hand learned Counsel appearing for the State opposes the petition. 4. I have heard learned Counsel appearing for the parties and perused the documents available on record. 5. It is informed by learned V-Civil Judge, Junior Division, District- Bilaspur (C.G.) vide its letter dated 12.02.2026 that in compliance of order dated 13.01.2026 of this Court, the charges have already been framed against all the accused persons vide order dated 12.01.2026. 6. Section 528 (corresponding to Section 482 of the CrPC) is engrafted to allow the High Court to intervene in cases where there is a clear abuse of process or where it is necessary to prevent injustice. It is not meant to manage the trial process and specific timelines for disposal. Hence, I am not inclined to direct the trial Court to expedite and conclude the trial in a time bound manner. However, the parties are directed to proceed and cooperate with the Trial so that the trial be concluded expeditiously. 7. Accordingly, the instant petition is disposed of at motion stage itself.
