Petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking following reliefs:- “10.1 That this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to issue an appropriate writ, order or direction quashing and setting aside the selection and appointment of Respondent No. 7 (Mr. Kunal Gaurav) to the post of Assistant Librarian (Unreserved category) pursuant to the recruitment advertisement dated 22.05.2025, being arbitrary, illegal and violative of the UGC Regulations, 2018 and Article 14 of the Constitution of India, 10.2 That this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to issue an appropriate writ, order or direction directing the Respondent University to consider and appoint the Petitioner to the post of Assistant Librarian, strictly in accordance with the UGC Regulations, 2018, the Petitioner's superior academic merit, higher qualifications and the objective academic scoring already awarded to the Petitioner, 10.3 That this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to, issue an appropriate writ, order or direction directing the 3 Respondent University to conduct a fresh, fair and transparent selection process for the post of Assistant Librarian by strictly adhering to the UGC Regulations, 2018, after setting aside the impugned selection; 10.4 That this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to issue an appropriate writ, order or direction directing the Respondent authorities to decide the Petitioner's detailed representation dated 29.12.2025 by passing a reasoned and speaking order within a time-bound period as may be deemed fit by this Hon'ble Court, 10.5 That, this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to grant any other relief/relief's in favour of the petitioner, which the Hon'ble Court deemed fit & just in the facts and circumstances of the case, including awarding of the costs to the petitioner.” 2. Learned counsel for petitioner, at the outset, submits that against the grievance raised in this writ petition, petitioner has already submitted a representation before respondent No.1 on 29.12.2025, which till date is pending consideration and, therefore, direction be issued to respondent no. 1 to consider and take decision on pending representation submitted by petitioner at the earliest. 3. Learned counsel for the respondent No.1 to 4 would submit that he has no objection to the limited prayer made by learned counsel for petitioner. If the representation is still pending consideration, it will be considered in accordance with law. 4. On due consideration of submission made by learned counsel for the respective parties, this writ petition at this stage is disposed of directing respondent No.1 to consider and take decision on the representation dated 29.12.2025 (Annexure P-7) submitted by petitioner, in accordance with law, expeditiously, preferably within a period of 04 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4 5. With the aforesaid observation and direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. 6. Pending interlocutory application(s), if any, also stands disposed of. No order as to cost(s).
