HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT ALLAHABAD HABEAS CORPUS WRIT PETITION No. - 1340 of 2026 Court No. - 73 HON'BLE SANDEEP JAIN, J. 1. By order dated 15.09.2026, the State was directed to produce the corpus, Kushabu Yadav, before this Court. In compliance with the said order, she has been produced by S.I. Salahuddin, PNO No.192305974, Police Station Bahariyabad, District Ghazipur. 2. This Court interacted with the corpus, Kushabu Yadav, who disclosed that she is aged about 25 years and has completed her M.A. in Home Science. She stated that she has neither solemnized marriage with the petitioner nor intends to do so. She further stated that she is voluntarily residing with her parents and is not in their illegal detention. 3. This Court could not interact with the petitioner, Yuvraj Singh, as he was not present before the Court. 4. Upon interaction with the corpus, it is apparent that she has attained majority and has categorically denied having any matrimonial relationship with the petitioner. She has unequivocally stated that she does not intend to solemnize marriage with the petitioner in future and is presently residing voluntarily with her parents. 5. It is, thus, apparent that the corpus is not in the illegal detention of any person. Accordingly, no ground is made out for entertaining the instant habeas corpus petition. 6. Accordingly, the instant habeas corpus writ petition is dismissed. 7. The corpus, being a major, is at liberty to reside with a person of her choice at her preferred place.
