This petition has been filed for a direction, directing the respondents https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 11410 of 2026 herein to conduct inspection by invoking the provision under section 10B of the Tamilnadu Pawn Brokers Act 1943 in the building in the name and style of M/s.Ravi Bankers situate at shop No.185, Susi complex, Kurinjipadi Main Road, Rajaveedhi, Kurinjipadi, Cuddalore, based on the proceedings of the 2nd respondent herein dated 27.1.2025 and to inspect the said premises and remove the valuable articles and receipts from abandoned pawn shops and handover the keys of the shop to the petitioner. 3. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner is the owner of a shop premises which was leased to a tenant named Mr.Ravichandran who was running a pawn broker shop in the name and style of M/s.Ravi Bankers. After the death of the tenant on 15.03.2015, the pawn broker shop remained closed till date and no business activity has been carried on in the said premises. As on date, the premises continues to remain closed. Thereafter, the petitioner made a representation on 07.12.2024 to Superintendent of Police, Cuddalore on 07.12.2024 and thereafter, the third respondent conducted enquiry and forwarded the report dated 23.12.2024 to the second respondent. The second respondent vide communication dated 27.01.2025 directed the third respondent to break open the shop and videograph in terms of Tamil Nadu Pawn Brokers Act, 1943, however, the same is pending. Considering the facts and circumstance of the case directs the respondents 2 to 4 to trace the legal heirs of the tenant Ravichandran and implement the communication of the second respondent dated 27.01.2025 within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order in terms of Tamil Nadu Pawn Brokers Act, 1943. 6. Accordingly, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
