Ms. Sananda Bhattacharyya …for the petitioners Mr. Amanul Islam …for the State Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners submits that by an order dated 27.01.2026 passed in CRM (A) 7 of 2026, the petitioners were granted anticipatory bail and were directed to surrender before the learned jurisdictional Court and pray for bail within four weeks from this date. However, due to some ailments of the petitioners and lack of communication between the petitioners and their learned counsel, they could not surrender before the learned jurisdictional Court in time. It is prayed that, in the interest of justice, the time to surrender be extended. Heard the learned counsel for the State. It appears that due to some unforeseen circumstances, the petitioners could not surrender before the learned jurisdictional Court and pray for bail as directed in this Court’s earlier order granting anticipatory bail. 2 In view of the above and in the interest of justice, the time to surrender and pray for bail before the learned jurisdictional Court is extended by three more weeks from date. The rest of the order shall remain the same. With these observations and directions, the application for relaxation and/or modification of order of anticipatory bail is disposed of.
