The petitioner is an accused in connection with Chandwa P.S. Case No. 92 of 2023 corresponding to Spl. POCSO Case No. 36 of 2023. The prayer for bail of the petitioner was earlier rejected in B. A. No. 1984 of 2024. Submission has been advanced by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the informant has been examined, but he has not supported the case of the prosecution. He further submits that the petitioner is in custody since 21.04.2023. Learned A.P.P. for the State has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner. The allegation reveals that the petitioner had raped and murdered 10 years old daughter of the informant. It appears that out of 12 charge- sheeted witnesses, 6 witnesses have been examined. Regard being had to the nature of allegations levelled against the petitioner, I am not inclined to admit the appellant on bail and the instant prayer is hereby rejected. (Rongon Mukhopadhyay, J) R.
