The petitioner is an accused in connection with Panki P.S. Case No. 111 of 2025. It has been alleged that the informant had gone to graze cattle in the jungle where the petitioner tried to commit rape upon her, but she managed to flee away. However, in the re-statement, she has specifically stated about commission of rape upon her by the petitioner. Though, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is in custody since 16.09.2025 and the charge-sheet has already been submitted, but regard being had to the specific nature of allegations levelled against the petitioner, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner and accordingly, this application stands rejected.
