(Oral) The petitioner has filed the present petition for initiation of the contempt proceedings, against the respondent on account of wilful defiance of the order dated 22.01.2025, passed by the coordinate Bench in CWP- 29807-2024, copy whereof is Annexure P-1. In the aforesaid order, the coordinate Bench after considering the submissions made by the petitioner, had disposed of the writ petition, thereby giving direction to the Inquiry Committee to give due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, before concluding its inquiry report. Notice of motion. Ms. Jagriti Kalia, Assistant Advocate General, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of respondent-State and submits that the inquiry has since been concluded and even the present petitioner, namely, Rajwinder, was associated in the same. Even, his statement was recorded therein and SONU 2026.04.10 17:18 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document 2 COCP-1657-2026 thereupon final inquiry report was also given by the Senior Medical Officer in-charge of Civil Hospital, Pathankot and other committee members. Even, the statement of Dr. Deep Singh, M.O., against whom the complaint was registered, was also recorded. The vernacular, as well as, translated copy of the statement of petition and other record has been furnished by the state counsel today, which is taken on record. Copy of the same has also been supplied to the counsel for the petitioner today itself. In view of the aforesaid submissions, at this stage, counsel for the petitioner submits that he does not want to pursue with the present contempt petition and the same be dismissed as withdrawn, with liberty to assail the speaking order, if need arises.
