This Writ Petition is filed for a Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation dated 19.02.2026 and to permit the petitioner to participate in the proceedings of the 1st Respondent in C.No.07/M1 PS -Genl/04-02-2026. 3. The case of the petitioner is that his Hyundai Creta car bearing Reg.No.TN01 AY 0678 was involved in connection with crime No.1176 of 2024 registered by the 2nd respondent and thereafter confiscation proceedings were initiated without giving him any opportunity of hearing and without properly considering his explanation. The grievance of the petitioner is that his vehicle was lying idle and exposed to sun and rain and is deteriorating day by day. In this regard, he has submitted a representation dated 19.02.2026 seeking an opportunity of hearing and permission to participate in the proceedings, however, till date, no action has been taken and hence, the petitioner has come up with the present writ petition. 4. Heard both sides and perused the materials on record. 5. Considering the limited prayer sought for, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the 1st respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner’s representation dated 19.02.2026 and pass appropriate orders on https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 8960 of 2026 __________ Page3 of 4 merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
