JUSTICE S.R.KRISHNA KUMAR ORAL ORDER In this petition petitioner seeks the following relief. " a) Issue a writ of Mandamus or any other writ or order and direct the Respondents to consider the Petitioners application for the post of Chief Law Assistant in terms of Notification CEN No.8/2025 (ANNEXURE - B) b) Pass such other order as this Hon'ble court deems fit in the interest of Justice and equity." 2. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned ASG for the respondent and perused the material on record. 3. A perusal of the material on record will indicate that the application filed by the petitioner for appointment to the post of Chief Law Assistant did not get filed on the portal of the respondent on account of certain technical glitches and technical lapses. It is an undisputed fact and a matter of record that the examinations have not been conducted as on today. 4. In the peculiar/ special/ unique factual circumstances obtaining in the instant case, I deem it just and appropriate to direct the respondents to reopen the portal and permit the petitioner to apply to the post of Chief Law Assistant by imposing certain conditions on the petitioner. - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:20205 WP No. 2912 of 2026 5. In the result, I pass the following:- ORDER (i) Petition is hereby disposed of. (ii) Respondents are directed to open the portal for the limited/ restricted purpose of enabling only the petitioner herein to apply to the post of Chief Law Assistant vide Notification No. CEN No.8/2025 subject to the condition that all expenses in this regard would be borne by the petitioner alone and not exceeding Rs.10,000/-. (iii) It is made clear that the present order is passed in the unique, special, peculiar facts and circumstances obtained in the instant case and the present order shall not be treated as a precedent nor shall carry any precedential value for any other purpose whatsoever.
