W.P.(C) 8803/2026 3. By way of the present writ petition, the petitioner is seeking following prayers: “a. Issue a writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order, or direction directing Respondent No. 3 Hospital to immediately provide free medical consultation, diagnosis, admission, medicines, procedures, and treatment to the Petitioner in accordance with the directions issued in Laxmi v. Union of India, (2016) 3 SCC 669; b. Direct the Respondent no. 3 to ensure continued and uninterrupted treatment of the Petitioner without demand for medical charges; c. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner states that the petitioner herein is a victim of acid attack, regarding which an FIR bearing no. 466/2019, Police Station Prem Nagar, Delhi stands registered. 5. The learned counsel appearing for the respondent nos. 1 and 2 draws this Court’s attention to the order dated 03.01.2024, passed by the Co- ordinate Bench of this Court. 6. No one is present on behalf of respondent no. 3 i.e., BLK-Max Super Speciality Hospital, despite service of advance notice. 7. As per judgment of Laxmi v. Union of India: (2016) 3 SCC 699 as well as order dated 04.05.2026, passed in Shaheen Malik v. Union of India: Writ petition(c) No. 1112/2025, the respondent no. 3 is bound in law to provide free medical treatment to a survivor of acid attack. Since, they have chosen not to appear before this Court, it is ordered that the petitioner herein shall be given treatment, as per requirements of law, under intimation to this Court. 8. In case of any further grievance, the petitioner herein will be at liberty to approach this Court. 9. With the above directions, the present petition along with pending application is disposed of. 10. The order be uploaded on the website forthwith. DR.
