It is the contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner that petitioner was granted 4 acres of land in Sy.No.1, Block No.7 of Samudrahalli Village, Kasaba Hobli, Hassan Taluk and District, in the year 1963. Pursuant to the grant, saguvali chit at Annexure-A was also issued on 17.09.1963. However, the name of the petitioner was not entered in the revenue records. 3. The prayer in the petition is to issue a writ of mandamus directing respondent No.4-Tahsildar, Hassan Taluk, to issue saguvali chit in favour of the petitioner. The learned - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:9142 WP No. 3601 of 2026 counsel further prays that directions be issued to the respondent-Tahsildar to enter the name of the petitioner in the revenue records. 4. The writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to respondent No.4 – Tahasildar, Hassan Taluk to consider the representation given by the petitioner at Annexure-B dated 27.01.2026, verify the records and find out whether Smt.Parvathamma W/o Siddegowda was indeed granted the land. If it is found that the Committee had in fact regularised the land in favour of Smt.Parvathamma and Saguvali chit was issued in her favour then the Tahsildar shall collect kimmat from the petitioner once he has satisfied himself on all aspects he shall enter her name in the land records. The entire exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
