The present application has been filed by the applicant, under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (hereinafter referred to as the ‘BNSS’) seeking grant of regular bail in FIR No. 230/2023, Police Station South Campus, initially registered under Sections 324/34 Indian Penal Code, 1860 (hereinafter referred to as ‘IPC’) and subsequently, Sections 307/506 IPC were added and the charge-sheet has been filed accordingly. 3. Though there are about 10 criminal antecedents against the applicant, learned counsel for the applicant submits that all the said cases are pending trial and that in most of them, the applicant has either been acquitted or discharged. 4. As per the Nominal Roll received from the concerned Jail Superintendent, the total custody of the applicant, as on 04.07.2026, is 2 years, 2 months and 7 days. The victim and the other public witnesses have already been examined. This is a digitally signed order. In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances, the present application is allowed. The applicant is directed to be released on bail on furnishing a personal bond in the sum of Rs.25,000/- with two sureties of the like amount to the satisfaction of the learned Trial Court/Link Court, subject to the following conditions: i. The applicant shall not leave India without prior permission of the learned Trial Court. ii. The applicant shall intimate the learned Trial Court by way of an affidavit and to the Investigating Officer regarding any change in residential address. iii. The applicant shall appear before the learned Trial Court as and when the matter is taken up for hearing. iv. The applicant is directed to give his mobile number to the Investigating Officer and keep it operational at all times. v. The applicant shall not, directly or indirectly, tamper with evidence or try to influence the witness in any manner. 8. The application is allowed and disposed of accordingly. 9. Pending application, if any, also stand disposed of. 10. Copy of the order be sent to the concerned Jail Superintendent for necessary information and compliance. 12.
