Heard Sri K.Srinivas, learned counsel for the petitioner, Sri Chandra Sekhar, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Revenue for respondents 1 to 3, and learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home for the 4th respondent. 2.
The grievance of the petitioner is that the 3rd respondent is not conducting a survey and fixing boundaries in respect of land admeasuring Ac.1.075 cents in Sy.No.125/1, Ac.0.90 cents in Sy.No.125/2 and Ac.0.25
cents in Sy.No.125/2, Somuladoddi Village, Anantapur Rural Mandal, Anantapur District, pursuant to the petitioner's F-line application No.DER012601604063 dated 01.09.2026 (Ex.P1). 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner would contend that the petitioner is the absolute owner of the aforementioned property, having purchased the same under Registered Sale Deeds vide Document Nos.5995 of 2019, 6978 of 2021 and 3702 of 2022, and his name was mutated in the revenue records. The petitioner made an application vide Ex.P1 requesting the authorities to conduct a survey and fix the boundaries. However, no survey has been conducted so far. 4. Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Revenue submitted the instructions of the Tahsildar – 3rd respondent dated 17.09.2026, would submit that notice was issued to the petitioner and other neighbouring landowners to attend the field on 18.09.2026 and to show the ridges of their cultivation for taking further action. Learned Assistant Government Pleader would further submit that the 3rd respondent will follow the procedure prescribed under the Andhra Pradesh Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923. 5. Given the facts and circumstances of the case, keeping the writ petition pending and inviting a counter will not serve any purpose. Hence, this writ petition is disposed of, at the admission stage, with the consent of learned counsel on either side, directing the 3rd respondent to follow the due procedure prescribed under the Andhra Pradesh Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923 and conduct a survey pursuant to the application made by the petitioner vide Ex.P1.
