JUSTICE JASMEET SINGH O R D E R % 03.07.2026 1. The present writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following reliefs:- “A. Issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent to add the name of the petitioner institution in the category of recognized institutions and add the name of the petitioner institution in the list of recognized institutions which is uploaded on the official website of the respondent NCTE; B. Issue a Writ of Mandamus enabling the petitioner to participate in counselling and admit students for D.EL.ED (PTC) course for Academic Year 2026- 2027. . . .” 2. This order is being passed in view of a similar order dated 17.04.2026 passed in W.P.(C) No. 5102/2026, covering the present issue. Learned counsel for the petitioner, submits that petitioner is a recognized institution conducting the D.EL.ED course. He submits that recognition for conducting the said course was granted vide order dated 08.10.2004 by the Western Regional Committee. However, the respondents are not displaying the name of the College in the list of recognized institutions on their official website. Thus, the petitioner has approached this Court seeking to direct the respondents to update the status of the petitioner institute and display its name in the list of recognized institutions for the said course on their official website. He further points out that in the past, several orders have been passed by this Court issuing similar directions, copies of which have been filed along with the writ petition. 4. For the said reason, issue notice. 5. Mr. Rupal, learned counsel, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents and, on instructions, states that the respondents have no objection to the present petition being allowed, subject to verification by the respondents. 6. Accordingly, the petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to verify the status of the petitioner institute and if upon verification the same is found to be a recognized institute, the respondents shall update the status on the website in the list of recognized institutions within 2 weeks. Thereafter, communication to this effect shall be sent to the affiliating body as well as the Department of Higher Education, Government of Gujarat, within a period of 1 week from the date the status is uploaded.
