The petitioner, above-named, who is in custody since 05.10.2025 in connection with Barhait (Sahibganj) P.S. Case No. 144 of 2025 for the offence registered under Section 96 of the BNS, 2023, has prayed for regular bail. As per the prosecution case, informant is the mother of the victim-girl and on 22.09.2025 in the night, her minor daughter went missing from the house. When she did not return, the case was lodged and on the same day, the victim-girl was recovered. It is submitted by the learned counsel on behalf of petitioner that petitioner is aged about 19 years and there is no allegation of any enticement on his part. It is submitted that the case has been lodged after 12 days and there is no allegation of any sexual assault. Learned A.P.P. for the State has opposed the prayer for bail. Under the circumstances, the above-named petitioner is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.25,000/-(Twenty- Five Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Court below.
