Prayer in these petitions is to direct respondents to pay arrears of equal pay for equal work with interest to petitioners in the light of the judgment of the Hon’ ble Apex Court in Civil Appeal No.8640- 8659/1997 dated 24.7.2001. 3. Learned counsel appearing for respective petitioners have also relied upon the judgment passed by this Curt in Writ Petition No.2222/2002 along with connected writ petitions decided on 15.2.2019. They further relied upon Government Resolution dated 20.3.2025 and contended that it clearly covers the case of petitioners. 4. Learned AGP as well as learned counsel for respondent No.1 has also not disputed the said position. 5. This court has already considered this aspect in Writ Petition No.6389/2025 and directed that issue raised in the petition can be 4 5. wp5142.19 & ors connected petitions.odt decided by respondent No.1 in the light of aforesaid judgments and the Government Resolution. 6. Learned counsel Shri A.C.Dharmadhikari submits that in some of cases, representations are rejected, but representations in present petitions are not rejected and, therefore, the similar order can be passed in present petitions. 7. In view of that, we direct respondent No.1 to decide issue raised in these petitions by treating the present petitions as representations and take to its logical end within a period of eight weeks. 8. Learned counsel for petitioners undertakes to produce copy of petitions along with orders passed today before respondent No.1 within a period of two weeks. 9. With these directions, writ petitions are disposed of. 10. The communication dated 25.2.2026 will not come in the way of respondent No.1 while deciding the said representations. [JUDGE] [JUDGE] !!
