The petitioner is one of the accused persons in FIR No. 42/2015 dated 12.01.2015, registered at the instance of his wife, at Police Station Krishan Nagar, District East, Delhi, under Sections 498A/406/313/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860. 2. He has filed this petition under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, seeking directions for expedition of the trial pending before the Sessions Court [SC No. 547/2017: State v. Mervyn Michael and Others]. 3. Mr. Hitesh Vali, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State, states that out of 14 witnesses, five have been examined, who are all material witnesses, and four material witnesses remain to be examined. 4. Upon hearing, Mr. R.P.S. Bhati, learned counsel for the petitioner, This is a digitally signed order.
