Ghosh …for the petitioner. Mr. Arindam Sen Ms. Debarshi Brahma …for the State. 1. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that there were allegations and counter- allegations. The altercation happened due to prior civil dispute between the parties. 2. Learned counsel appearing for the State strongly opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail. He refers to the statements of the victim and the local witnesses implicating the present petitioner and to the injury report which shows infliction of injury of a vital part of the body like head. 3. Considering the above, the other incriminating materials available in the case diary and the fact that the petitioner had remained absconding since 2003, I do not consider this to be a fit case to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 2 4.
