Neutral Citation No. ( 2026:JHHC:9019 ) IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI B.A. No. 234 of 2026 Mangal Hansda @ Mangal Mardi ... … Petitioner Versus The State of Jharkhand ... … Opposite Party --------- CORAM : HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE RONGON MUKHOPADHYAY --------- For the Petitioner : Mr. Vikash Kumar, Advocate For the State : A.P.P. --------- 04/30.03.2026 Heard Mr. Vikash Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned A.P.P. for the State. The prayer for bail of the petitioner was earlier rejected twice in B.A. No. 2670 of 2022 and B.A. No. 8747 of 2024. It has been submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is in custody since 15.05.2021. Learned counsel further submits that out of 12 charge-sheet witnesses five witnesses have been examined so far. Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner. It appears that the petitioner had given several knife blows upon the mother of the informant which resulted in her death. Regard being had to the specific nature of allegations leveled against the petitioner, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. The same is hereby rejected. (Rongon Mukhopadhyay, J.)
