Chowdhury … for the Petitioner(s) Mr. Sanjay Banerjee Mr. Bikram Mitra … for the State-respondent(s) Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been implicated in connection with the instant case on the alleged recovery of 1036 gm of Yaba Tablet. The petitioner is in custody for nine months and twenty nine days. According to the learned advocate, as charges have been framed, further detention of the present petitioner is unwarranted. Learned advocate for the State, on the other hand, opposes the prayer for bail and submits that there was recovery from the joint possession of the present petitioner and another. Having considered the same, I am of the view that the petitioner be well advised to approach this court after 2 the evidence of the seizure list witnesses is over. At this stage, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is Rejected. Accordingly, CRM(NDPS) 111 of 2026 is dismissed. The learned trial court is directed to give priority for examination of the seizure witnesses.
