Joint memo is filed in respect of both the cases signed by the parties and their respective Advocates. Contents of the joint memo reads as under: “The Parties to the above petition jointly submit that they have Settled their marital dispute between them on the following terms: 1. That the Petitioner/Husband and Respondent/Wife will file Section 13 B petition of Hindu Marriage Act 1955, seeking for a decree of divorce by mutual consent of the marriage between them registered in the office of Sub-Registrar, Kundapura dated 06/06/2008 in accordance with the provisions of Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 on or before June 30th, 2026. 2. That the Petitioner/Husband will pay the sum of Rs. 22,50,000/- (Rupees Twenty Two Lakhs Fifty Thousand only) in full and final settlement towards permanent alimony to the Respondent/Wife; out of which the sum of Rs. 2,50,000/- has been paid by way of RTGS txn with reference No. UTIBR72026041100573364 for Rs. 2,50,000/- (Rupees Two Lakhs Fifty Thousand Only) infavour of Jayamani Shobalatha on 11-4- 2026 at 2.04 p.m.; out of the balance sum, - 5 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:20530 CRL.RP No. 584 of 2018 C/W CRL.RP No. 1079 of 2018 Rs. 10,00,000/-(Rupees Ten Lakhs only) will be paid to her on the date of filing the above said Section 13 (B) petition and the balance of Rs. 10,00,000/- (Rupees Ten Lakhs only) on the date of the drawing of the decree before the Family Court at Udupi. 3. That the Respondent/Wife and her daughter shall not have any further claims whatsoever against the Petitioner/Husband in future for all times to come and the above said Rs. 22,50,000/- (Rupees Twenty Two Lakhs Fifty Thousand only) is in full and final settlement between them. 4. That the Respondent/Wife has agreed to the above terms and conditions of the settlement from her own free will and consent without any coercion from any quarters and thus both parties to the above petition have also filed their Affidavit confirming the above terms and conditions of Joint Memo.
