This is a writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following prayers:- “a) Issue a Writ in the nature of Mandamus or any other appropriate Writ/Order/Direction directing the Respondent No. 2 i.e Transunion CIBIL Ltd. to expunge/delete the erroneous Non Performing Asset classification reported by the Respondent No. 4 i.e. Chartered Finance & Leasing Ltd. The Order is downloaded from the DHC Server on 08/07/2026 at 12:19:34 in respect of the Petitioner’s account from the Petitioner’s credit report and consequently update all associated adverse data forthwith; b) Issue a Writ in the nature of Mandamus or any other appropriate Writ/Order/Direction directing the Respondent No. 2 i.e Transunion CIBIL Ltd. to recalculate the Petitioner Company’s CIBIL MSME Rank at the earliest/in a time bound manner after expunging the erroneous reporting; c) Pass an ex-parte ad interim Order directing the Respondent No.2 i.e. Transunion CIBIL Ltd. to, pending final disposal of the present petition, expunge/remove/delete any reference to the Petitioner Company’s association/transaction with Chartered Finance & Leasing Ltd. i.e. Respondent No. 4 herein and accordingly update the Petitioner company’s CIBIL MSME Rank; . . .” 2. For the reasons stated in the petition, issue notice. 3. Mr. Pathak, Mr. Bhattacharya and Mr. Mehrotra, learned counsels accept notice on behalf of the respondent Nos. 1, 2 and 3 respectively. 4. Mr. Bhattacharya, learned counsel appearing for the respondent No. 2, on instructions, states that as of 29.06.2026, the CIBIL score of the petitioner would be CMR-3, which was the original score of the petitioner before it was downgraded. 5. In view of the statement made by Mr. Bhattacharya, learned counsel, Dr. George, learned counsel for the petitioner does not press the present petition with liberty to revive in case there is any other grievance.
