The present writ petition is filed declaring the action of the respondents in issuing the impugned Lr.No.SE/O/SKL/SAO/AO(REV)/ JAO/LT/D.No.396/13, dated 19.07.2013 demanding the payment of electricity bills to be payable by the petitioner-Gram Panchayat without issuing any notice and without following due process of law as illegal, arbitrary and contrary to the G.O.Rt.No.80, dated 17.01.2009 and consequential G.O.Rt.No.1190, dated 18.07.2013 issued by the 2nd respondent. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, due to the non- release of funds by the first respondent, the petitioner-Gram Panchayat was unable to pay the electricity bills demanded by the respondents. 4. Pending the Writ Petition, the 1st respondent-Government released the requisite amounts, which were duly paid. Consequently, the respondents did not initiate any coercive steps to disconnect the electricity service connection of the petitioner-Gram Panchayat. 5. On the other hand, learned Standing Counsel for the respondents submits that the entire amounts payable by the local authority, namely the 4 Gram Panchayat, were paid by the 1st respondent from the funds allocated to the Gram Panchayat. 6. In view of the same, claim of the petitioner-Gram Panchayat has already been redressed. Hence, no further orders are necessary. 7. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
