JUSTICE R DEVDAS ORAL ORDER Learned High Court Government Pleader takes notice for the all the respondents. 2. It is the contention of the petitioner that the petitioner's father Sri.Gangaiah was granted 1 acre of land in *Sy.No.70 of Sondekoppa Village, Dasanapura Hobli, Bangalore North Taluk, in terms of the orders passed by the Special Deputy Commissioner in LND/SR/38/1977-78 dated 11.07.1978. Pursuant to which, a saguvali chit was also issued on 30.12.1978 as found at Annexure-D, the name of the petitioner's father was also entered in the *Corrected vide Court Order dated 07.04.2026 - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:12598 WP No. 6594 of 2026 mutation register in terms of *M.R.No.3330/1978. However, the name of the petitioner's father was discontinued after the computerization. 3. After hearing the learned counsel for the petitioners, the learned High Court Government Pleader and on perusing the petition papers, this Court finds from the material on record that the name of the petitioner's father was earlier entered in the land revenue records. However, if the Tahsildar is of the opinion that the petitioner's father has not been granted lands, nevertheless, it is the duty of the Tahsildar to secure the original grant records, Saguvali Chit issue register and other contemporaneous records to satisfy himself regarding the grant made in favour of the petitioner's father. Moreover, there is no reason why the name of the petitioner's father which was earlier entered in the land revenue records has been continued after computerization, the Tahsildar is duty bound to look into all these aspects and pass necessary orders. *Corrected vide Court Order dated 07.04.2026 - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:12598 WP No. 6594 of 2026 4. The writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to respondent No.4-Tahsildar, Bangalore North Taluk, to verify from the records and find out if grant was made in favour of the petitioner's father and if he has paid the kimath. If it is found from the records that the facts stated hereinabove are true, then the Tahsildar shall proceed to enter the name of the petitioner's father in the computerised RTC in accordance with law. Thereafter, the Tahsildar shall see who are the legal heirs of late Sri.Gangaiah, and after satisfying himself proceed to enter the names of the legal heirs of Sri.Gangaiah in accordance with law. The entire exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
