The petitioner in the present writ petition is a member of the Indian Police Service (IPS) and the issue raised in the present writ petition pertains to his service conditions. 3. The issue raised in the present writ petition at the first instance would be maintainable before the Central Administrative Tribunal, and as the petitioner is posted in the Assam/Meghalaya, IPS, joint cadre, such proceedings would be permissible to be instituted at the first instance before the Central Administrative Tribunal, Guwahati Bench. 4. The said aspect of the matter on being brought to the notice of the petitioner in person, he has submitted that he be permitted to withdraw the present writ petition with liberty to approach the Central Administrative Tribunal, Guwahati Bench, raising the grievances as has been raised by him in the present proceeding. 5. Prayer accepted. 6. The present writ petition stands dismissed on withdrawal with Page No.# 3/3 liberty to the petitioner to approach the Central Administrative Tribunal, Guwahati Bench, praying for grant of relief as has been prayed for in the present writ petition.
