No one appears on behalf of the petitioner. 3. Learned counsel for the respondent nos. 2 and 3 submits that this writ application may not be entertained for the sole reason that this writ application has been filed in the year 2023 for a monetary claim for the period from 07.05.1986 to 12.12.2005 which is an afterthought and the petitioner has retired on 30.04.2012. 4. Having heard learned counsel for the respondents and after going through the prayer made in this writ application, it is evident that the grievance of the petitioner is for salary for the period from 07.05.1986 to 12.12.2005 and admittedly, the petitioner has retired on 30.04.2012, 2026:JHHC:11145 2 however, the writ application has been filed in the year 2023. Perhaps due to this reason, the petitioner is not in taking interest in this case. 5. Thus, on the sole ground of delay and latches, no relief can be granted to the writ petitioner, inasmuch as, for a money claim for the period from 07.05.1986 to 12.12.2005, this application has been filed in the year 2023. It is also evident from record that the petitioner has retired on 30.04.2012 and this writ application was filed after 11 years of his retirement. Thus, there is no hesitation in holding that this petitioner is a chance taking petitioner and accordingly the instant writ application is dismissed. 6. Pending I. As, if any, also stand disposed of.
